Mexcaltitan - A City on the Water

This is a tiny island not far from the Pacific coast of Mexico, with a population of just over 800 people. According to the legend, this place is the ancestral home of the Aztecs.

 Mexcaltitán de Uribe, also known simply as Mexcaltitán, is a small man-made island-city off the coast in the municipality of Santiago Ixcuintla in the Mexican state of Nayarit. Legend has it that it was the Aztlan of the Aztecs, their home city and birthplace from where they set out on their pilgrimage in 1091 that led them to the founding of Tenochtitlan . 

This island is now being promoted as a tourist attraction and has been designated a "Pueblo Magico" by the federal government. It is accessible by boat from La Batanza, which is the dock area located some 40 kilometers from Santiago Ixcuintla. It is known as "The Mexican Venice" .

Recycled House

 Building a home that is inexpensive and unique in same time is real challenge today. A perfect example how home can be built with less money is this house which is designed by architects Claire Helene Drouin and Jean Marie Sanchez.

The entire house is built with 15 recycled shipping containers. After it is finished, you would never notice that it is built from containers and it has a very fashionable design.

This home is built in Marseille , France where you can find a plenty of shipping containers that are waiting to be recycled and used again. Maybe the coolest fact is that this home is pretty mobile and it could be eventually relocated to another place.

   

Oh Abah ku!!!

Balik umrah hari tu abah Hajar kan masuk hospital.. U all ingat tak post Hajar pasal abah masuk hospital???  1st day abah di masukkan di HDU (High dependency unit) Hospital Pantai.. Masa tu abah dah berwayar penuh... ubat yang dimasukkan dalam badan buat abah ngantuk dan lemah... Ok.. Bukan nak cite pasal ni sebenarnya.... hahaha.... Itu introduction je... (panjang nya introduction kau Hajar.. kalau cikgu bahasa Melayu dah baling dah exam paper kau!!!!) 

Petang tu abang saya datang melawat abah... ketika itu abah masih mamai sebab penangan ubat... abang saya mengejut abah saya... setelah setengah jam dia berborak berdua, abah saya  pun cakap la pada abang saya, "Muka awak ni macam anak pakcik... Sama sangat macam anak pakcik..." hahaha!! Abang saya blur... dalam hati dia, "ya Allah, setengah jam aku duk borak kat sini... Abah tak cam aku!!!"  Abang saya pun balas balik, "Abah, saya ni anak abah la.... " masa tu baru abah tersedar rupanya itu anak dia.. Abah ingat abang saya tu orang yang kerja kat tempat X-Ray.... addeeeiihhh!!! Abah.. macam mana la boleh anak sendiri tak cam....

Sharin Low Restaurant

Hye... Ok.. kali ni entry Hajar pasal makan... walaupun dah lama jugak saya makan kat Sharin Low Restaurant tetapi nak jugak tulis entry pasal restaurant ni... Seperti biasa, saya bersama my "kaki makan"-partner, Halim (my close friend), kami memilih chinese cuisine... dah lama tak makan chinese cuisine... so nafsu untuk makan ni membuak-buak.. macam-macam kami order... hahahahha!!!!

Boleh dikatakan murah.... Puas hati makan di Sharin low!!! tapi tak ingat berapa total kami kena masa tu.... tetapi sangat berpatutan!!! Saya cadangkan anda semua pergi ok!!!!! memang superbbbb!!!!!

 Butter prawn... puas hati!!! dalam berbelas ringgit.... ni small portion.. 2 orang makan kan...

 Ini pula tauhu masak dengan mushroom... Hajar tak ingat nama nya!!! hahahha... Sedap gila ok!!!

 Daging black pepper... Saya tak suggest untuk ini... Rasa nya kurang sikit untuk daging black pepper... Actually kami order chicken lemon, tapi malam tu chicken lemon habis pulak la.... sabar je la.. itu yang nak sangat makan.....

Ini la crab soup.. actually nak order shark fin soup, tapi saya kurang sikit, halim suka la... last-last halim pun order crab soup.. n then budak tu cadang jangan ambik 2 mangkuk.. sebab 1 mangkuk boleh makan 4 orang... Mula-mula kami nak gak 2 mangkuk, last-last kami ambik 1 mangkuk je... Sampai je crab soup, 2-2 ternganga, "Halim, tak terhabis ni!!!".. akhirnya kami bungkus n halim bawak balik rumah dia....

Kepada kawan-kawan, kalau u all nak pi Sharin Low Restaurant, yang saya tahu ada 2 tempat... satu di Sri Gombak dan satu lagi di Bukit Antarabangsa...
